@stephenw10 This is my final note since it seem you will always look at this as an endpoint. It doesn't appear, it actually is, the facts are the facts. Still, moderator usually have a way to remove posts and ban single users, not just the entire herd, or at least the ones use. Perhaps those are more advance, or perhaps netgate forums lack that functionality. I never said negate took this issue lightly, I was just looking for some feedback. I have seen this process many times and for the looks of it, pfsense CE is very much in maintenance mode. Just because netgate wants to be politically correct does not mean it is not. The fact are there and they are fallowing the same path as others did. Again, this subject is just becoming redundant and it is affecting other users in the forum.

If you don't have any outbound NAT rules on the WAN and your internal subnets are private IPs then nothing routable will leave. No connections can be made from internal clients out of the WAN directly. The term 'kill switch' to refer to that is absurd though. Kill switch implies something you set to kill all the traffic. The term 'fail safe' fits that rule setup far better. If the VPN is disconnected the systems fails. Safe. But I guess it wasn't suffciently buzz-wordy for the VPN marketers.

@erasedhammer Solution: Add a dedicated media converter SFP (1000base-sx) to RJ45 (1000base-t) With the solution above, I was able to get my upload from ~60mbps to 940mbps. [image: 1615486578250-goodupload-withmediaconverter.png]

@dlavoie said in APU4 Video Conferencing Problems: seems especially knowledgeable about this type of hardware. Hi, This is certainly not a HW question, but thank you for thinking of me I think install a pfSense on the APU4 and several more member will help you, including me (from FreeBSD 12.2, the pfSense 2.4.5.-p1 or 2.5.0(?) - it will be just a small jump) Here you can follow the current BIOS versions (v.4.13.0.4 latest): https://pcengines.github.io/

I couldn't find the source for this issue, so I do what I always do in this type of "I have no clue" situation, I simplify. I removed all my switches except one, removed all non-related items and appliances, reset my configs where I could. then add stuff back. The problem has not reappeared, and I have about 75% of my items back integrated. I suspect it is either a unifi bug or my fing appliance.

@jknott I was curious about how much power my Qotom computer draws. I checked the status of my APC UPS. According to it, the computer draws about 3W and occasionally spikes up to about 13W. At the moment, that computer is the only thing on the UPS. [image: 1613414985408-b5e6fb4b-63e4-4e87-ae3c-5763bb3a894a-image.png]

@jknott The T1700G-28TQ does not. It's from their range aimed at real networks. The other one I have does though. Along with some other interesting features.... That is definitely a soho device though and an older one at that. Might as well be from a completely separate company really. Steve
