    You could activate https and change the port to 80 but then you still need to type the https (and additionally :80 because it's not standard http). But i dont think it's possible to just redirect the request. You would need a page on port 80 that has a redirection to the https page on another port. And afaik the webgui cannot run on multiple ports.

    8080 is a common proxy port and your ISP might be blocking it.

    @sdale:

    Reboot, Reinstall and that should take care of it.

    The script at /var/db/rrd/updaterrd.sh is the one that generates the graphs using rrdtool. :)

    @xztraz:

    Isn't compatiblity something good? i think it the gui should be compatible with a couple of browsers. not just one.

    If it is an easy fix. please make it compatible :)

    Greetings

    Linux  FF 2 is also giving me problems with svg graphs.. I think it was ok with FF1.5  not sure if it was the upgrade to 2 that broke it.

    @shreckbull:

    Why, pfsense developpers, don't create a little function for enable/disable WAN access with a form "EN/DISABLE button"

    You already have this.
    On the WAN rules page hit the green permit button left of the rule and it gets light green. This means it's disabled. Hit it again to re-enable.

    Whether to use gzipped HTML pages is always a question whether to focuse on server load or on bandwidth.

    I think providing a knob that allows to enable/disable compression is a valid option.

    Cheers
    Daniel S. Haischt

    PS: gzip compression is enabled in pfSense HEAD.
