@Roques: Thank you very much Fred! No Problem. @Roques: The Ubuntu server is at your place? Yes @Roques: Is there a way to host this on the same pfSense server? or a way to have this service on the cloud? There is a freeradius package that can be added to pfsense (System -> Packages then click the available packages tab) but I can't help you with that as I've not used it myself, the same goes for cloud hosting. @Roques: The FreeRadius's function is to store that information for when the user revisits? Yep, the login will be preserved as long as it is not removed from the MySQL database.

You cannot customize that on the CP config but you can create firewall rules on the CP interface(s) to allow only that range to be passed.

Many moons later this issue came up again. Edit /usr/local/www/services_captiveportal_vouchers.php Line 234: if($config['voucher']['vouchersyncport'] == "443") Change to: if($config['voucher']['vouchersyncport'] == "10443") Hope this helps someone else.

I have been looking at this a lot too. I want to switch languages with a querystring and read it with a $_GET, but it seems to ignore it. I looked at the code behind the Captive Portal, but can't find where it ignores it, which is rather odd because it reads the redirurl value. I have tried to hard code test values in the inc files, but my pages don't seem to read them. Perhaps it would be an idea to create a test PHP page to see if this can read them, and therefore get an idea where these values are being dropped.

I have tried to cookie option, but now have a problem setting it. For some reason, I am unable to read QueryStrings e.g. ?language=eng as the Captive Portal seems to ignore them. Until I can get the $_GET to work, I think the only option is client side Javascript to set the cookie.

On the computer the browser cannot navigate to any webpage and just times out. On the phones, if someone accesses a webpage after the captive portal loop, it navigates as normal. It's just that the captive portal does not forward the user to the page they were about to view.

@cmb: you do have to disable MAC filtering to view the page, otherwise it'll error out because it can't find your MAC address for an Internet source IP. after disable Disable MAC filtering (under Status -> Captive Portal ) still ..i cannot view my captive portal page from the internet ..

@tomdlgns: there is a # button when you reply to a post and that can be used to enter code. :) and there is a "globe" button (immediately under the "underlined U") that can be used o enter a URL.

Captive portal logins are strictly based on IP and MAC address. If a user logs in on a machine, and then someone else logs into the same machine, the second user will retain the first user's access unless/until the first user is logged off by an idle or hard timeout. Not possible to force users to certain IPs via CP, IP assignment isn't related to CP.

What site hostname are you trying? By its design, it doesn't work for hostnames like, say, google.com that resolve to a different IP every time they're queried.
