Nothing special is needed for that kind of setup, you use one of the public ip-addresses for the WAN-interface and that address will be the address everything coming from LAN is natted to by default. For other addresses you setup 1:1 nat with virtual IP.

Use squid…you can allow unfiltered access by IP.  Read/search the packages forum.

You should pay more attention to what you read. @http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic: System: Advanced: If you want to be able to use NAT-mappings from withing your own LAN disable the checkbox "Disable NAT Reflection"

Thanks very much for the help, I've got it up and running at this point.  I've got some more questions, but I'll post them under the sub forums where they should go.  Thanks again!

Easiest program I know of to literally map a drive letter is called webdrive. Which can map a drive to FTP or SFTP (FTP over SSH) site. However the program is not free but does have a full evaluation version you can take a look at it at: http://www.webdrive.com/ One other choice I'm aware of is: http://www.sftpdrive.com/ If you don't need drive mapping and you are using Firefox there is an add on called FireFTP which is a great program that supports FTP and SFTP.

How is your WAN interface delivered? If your ISP is responsible for the equipment that presents you with an Ethernet interface, then you need to talk to them. If you are responsible for that equipment, you need to investigate its configuration. To use full duplex, both ends need to be talking full duplex.

@heiko: Click HOME at the top and then you can search the whole forum Yup, that's what I figured :). From the posts I've read, I'm getting the feeling that it might be because I'm using a 4-port Ethernet card. Perhaps it doesn't have enough buffering. I'll look into that next.  Perhaps there's a way of using system memory with it or something.

@olaf: Step by step: #pw user add -n joe -c "Joe Smith, Jr." -d /home/none -s /bin/sh #passwd joe Regards, Olaf hello.. I'm also attempting to do this (add user(s) just for SSH tunneling I added the user via ur prev post but I get an error that the server rejected our key (admin works) the unprivilaged user can only log in if i uncheck the "Disable Password login for Secure Shell (KEY only)" option. anyone know how I can get Key login working ? EDIT… NEVERMIND i figured it out just needed to copy the .ssh/authorized_keys to the new users /home/none location.
