    The box is merely guarding some admin ports, so it is very lightly loaded, despite I tried to reset the counters, to get rid of any error counters that happened in the past.

    In the setup intended it does Proxy ARP for some IPs, it does even "loadBalance", but merely to proxy the request. But I also remove the whole ProxyARP and LB Stuff and it still happened….

    This are the counters after zeroing the counters, connecting, waiting in vain for some web content to show up, in hope, that something would show up in the output.

    IIRC the interrupt load is low, otherwise I'm quite shure I would have spotted it, but I'll double check on that!

    I do have TS enabled (VoIP - kinda a must).

    Looking forward for 2.0 :/

    @mhab12:

    Think more along the lines of having port 81 bypass the proxy, rather than allowing it.  My gut feeling would be an edit to the squid.inc file. I believe you can setup which ports do not get proxied there.

    Thanks for your reply.I will have a look.

    Yeah, been keeping an eye on that because I already retrieve traffic statistics from them using SNMP.

    Hello,

    in 2007 a user already started a bounty for that (http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,4491.0.html). No developer accepted the bounty, maybe it was too low ($100).

    Can you tell me if it is possible with mrouted at all, or do we have to find a developer for porting igmpproxy to FreeBSD?

    Regards
    Christof

    pfSense isn't intended for scenarios where you're handing out your root password to the entire world.

    INDEED!! ;D

    I think the problem is with pfSense.

    I ran ipconf /release and /renew
    Rebooted PC
    unplugged it form AC
    disconnected reconnected network cable
    and
    restarted the dhcp demon on pfsense.

    Running a capture now from pf for dhcp traffic waiting for it to fail.

    Will setup a script on Vista to release and renew to see if I can force the issue.

    There are no socks packages for pfSense.  There are packages for FreeBSD (such as Dante), but you're on your own with those.

    I understand that you want to increase the priority of your www traffic?
    You already have hi-priority queues - qOthersUpH / qOthersDownH
    And, the simple way - define www traffic (80 dest port) to this queues.

    LAN->WAN|TCP|||Port: 80 (HTTP)|qOthersUpH/qOthersDownH|web HTTP

    But this rule must be moved up to DNS rules before other (after dns for example)
    –-
    And for reset you Shaper settings to default - use ' EZ Shaper wizard '

    looks like the zombies were all from bandwidthd, uninstalled and they all went away. looks like syslog is my problem now, and in particular the IPSEC log is really getting hammered.
