@Topper727: Thank you, you are correct.. it is at the bottom of Misc tab in advanced settings. Now I wonder if I have skills to get this working hehe Hope you do! Would be nice to have a working lcdproc-dev. If you read the thread Steve pointed you to, the issue seems to be that LCDd in the lcdproc-dev pbi some way messes up the path to LCDd.cong when it is pointed to /usr/local/etc

@pfSense2User: Shoot.  Here's the boot log. Note: The boot log text is not in separate lines, only spaced… I did find a USB 2.0 wireless card that is supported in Linux https://wikidevi.com/wiki/Tenda_W522U It's a dual-band Wireless card capable of running either a 2.4GHz Network, or 5GHz network (not sure if the card can do both with hostapd in one sitting, but I digress.) FYI, open with different editor.. I use Wordpad to view the log correctly.

That hasn't changed in several pfSense versions. It's been around since the 1.2.3 days. Though the console settings have changed recently and that may have made it show up in cases when it may not have otherwise. One can always configure their terminal program to strip colors, too…

That was fixed after that snapshot. I encountered the same error, and tested that it worked on a newer snapshot (though the RC snapshots are still being tested before being published, so you may have to wait)

Managed to resolve this by setting up the secondary from scratch. Created all interfaces required, and then got the configuration to synchronize.

Hi! I am new to pfsense so I did it wrong. I had configured the system on a virtual machine and irestored the configuration, when the hardware arrived. I did not properly waited until the packages were installed. So I did a reinstall today and waited till all packages were installed and then upgraded to 2.2 and again waited until the packages were installed. The result is the same though, Perhaps I install 2.1.5 tomorrow if I find the time. Matthias

I also noticed this today, using "2.2-BETA (amd64) built on Thu Dec 04 08:10:36 CST 2014". On a fresh install, I'm unable to change the IP address on the LAN interface. It behaves like the topic owner describes.

Yeah, the xml file would need to be sanitised and would also need to be spun out to a separate file name before uploading/submitting as an example. I'm not proposing people give away anything too sensitive, although I do recognise it could be argued the very config ie layout of the network could be useful for some. Its only a thought, but anyway thanks for your changes for the webtitle!

@commy: Hi! Would it be better to do a clean install? I have updated from 2.1.5 and have some problems regarding HAVP and squid. At the mopment I have a problem with IPsec on 2.1.5, also I think 2.2 performs better and for me a non-working VPN is worse than proxy, but it would be a nice to have. Should I start a new thread about the two package-problems? Matthias Generally it helps split things out which makes it easier for other readers as well as search engines.

Upgrade to a newer snapshot, the cert validation problem that triggered that issue and others was since fixed. You don't want it to not update.

The problem, at least in my case, appears to be a 64/32 bit mismatch between nut and libusb. Nut is built 64 bit but looking for libusb.so.2. Sure enough, selecting just WAN for outgoing interface and LAN + Localhost for interfaces works just fine.

OK. The console was still showing the old format but that has been fixed now too so it's OK all around.
