Silly VLAN information
-
Hello,
I am having some doubts about vlans and the route of their packages. Could you help me?Since English is not my main language I did an example below, so it is easy to me to explain where my doubts are.
example:
device (Ps4) . connected to VLAN 105 - 192.168.105.15
VLAN105 (LAN) - 192.168.105.0/24
LAN - 192.168.5.0/24
WAN ppoe - public ip dynamicwhich is right the path of the packages sent and received from the device?
- Ps4 <=> VLAN105 gateway 192.168.105.1 <=> LAN <=> WAN <=> destination
- Ps4 <=> VLAN105 gateway 192.168.105.1 <=> WAN <=> destination
- Ps4 <=> VLAN105 gateway 192.168.105.1 <=> destination
thank you

@crc_error_79 If the destination is the internet, then number 2
If the destination is at your place then number 3 -
@bob-dig
yes destination is internet.So this is why I get the NAT3 on the ps4 right?
in short, because the vlan's gateway is not exposed to internet but is behind the wan.. right?sorry what you mean with If the destination is at your place then number 3
another vlan or the lan?thanks again
