Iso installation on cf card

Is it possible to install the iso version onto a cf card?

It is but it will kill your cf-card sooner or later as cf-cards have limited writecycles. Please search the forum, there are several topics touching that question.

If you do this, don't configure a swap partition.  It'll help lengthen the life of the cf card.

swap will be nearly never used unless you run out of RAM, which shouldn't happen unless your RAM is too small for what you are trying to do.
