Multi-WAN load balance not working
-
I followed the instructions for the Multi-WAN Setup for version 1.2
http://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/MultiWanVersion1.2
The status for the load balance shows both online (in green) and WAN failover to OPT1 and OPT1 failover to WAN. I am not able to get DNS to work anymore though. I setup the static routes for the DNS servers to their respective gateways. I tried going to ip-adress.com and whatismyip.com. Both showed correct IP address as I unplugged each of the 2 internet connections. This was working fine this weekend, but now it is not working. I have disabled the load balance and I'm sending all traffic down a single ISP so we can work at the moment. I verified that the DNS server assigned through DHCP is the address of the router. DNS requests to our domain using the forwarder resolves to the internal IP of the web server.Any ideas?

Try using Open DNS servers i.e. 4.2.2.2 and 4.2.2.4

My guess would be that you miss configured the static routes screwing up the DNS requests, maybe you got the CIDR wrong (/32)
