How to set up "Static DHCP"
-
Greetings everyone,
I am a complete n00b here, and this is my very first post, so please bear with me if I have missed something excrutiatingly obvious.
I am at my wits' end. I have googled, and wiki'd, and searched everywhere I can for this information, but I can't figure out how to set up a static DHCP entry in PFSense.
Basically, I have a machine whose MAC address I always want to have assigned to 192.168.7.206, as is done with our current router. And during my googling quests, I have found entries where people have said, "I set up a static DHCP entry in PFSense and…" which totally leaves me scratching my head as to how they even did it!
Can anyone direct me to the FAQ/Documentation/whatever entry where it's laid out how to do it? I'm sorry for being so ignorant, and I thank anyone who can help me for their time! Surf Wisely!-dolst

Click the +button at the bottom of the DHCP-server config page and add your client.

Ah, thank you very much. I'll have to try this when I get back to the office. I'd do it from home, but I can't get to it from the outside world yet. Guess I forgot to enable that! D'oh!
But thank you for your quick response. I can't believe I missed something so simple. Surf Wisely!
