I have been searching online for more than an hour and finally I got the solution that worked for me.

Issue: you get the message "Server sent passive reply with unroutable address. Using server address instead."

Active mode does not work since it gives you this other message:

    Command: PORT 192,168,1,176,218,137
    Response:  500 Illegal PORT command.
Error:        Failed to retrieve directory listing

Solutions that did not work were changing all passive ports in the VUPLUS, activating DMZ, etc.

Simple solution that works: redirect not only the port 21 but also the port 20 (ftp data). For some reason I need to use the same ports in my FTP client (if I redirect to different ports it stop working since it hangs while retrieving the directory listing: Status:      Retrieving directory listing… (forever like that)
