Openvpn and route groups?

Openvpn in client allows you to specific only one interface. What is the idea in a multi-wan/route group situation?

Has this functionality not be written yet?

Isn't specifying the interface a bit pointless?  Since openvpn in client mode is connecting to an IP.  Or is the firewall driven by this information?

Also the function of custom options seems to have disappeared - I found this useful for adding additional routes to openvpn tunnels.
