Yet another WAN on VLAN problem

Hello, my ISP is providing me fiber optic through a PPPoE with VLAN 835.
Im currently using vbox with a bridged connection to my host and a ubuntu vbox with internal network.
From the ubuntu vbox I can access pfsense and I ve configured it as follow yet I have no connection:

VLAN 835 on em0
WAN assigned to VLAN 835 in em0
pppoe0 on interface em0.835 (can be set to em0 also)

What am I missing?
Mediaconverter eth cable is fed into my laptop nic running the vboxes
