    Hi to all,

I have installed VPN Server package onto my Synology server, i setup it with OpenVPN method with port 69633 (UDP).
I would like to know if i need to create a port forwarding rules to allow acces from WAN to it ? or use rules only ?
If port forwarding rules is necessary, does i need to create two Port Forward rules in NAT for Outbound and incoming traffic ? or it's only one is enough ?
(notice : I know that pfSense allow to have OpenVPN itself, but i prefer to dedicate this Synology server on my lan for this job).

    Many thanks for your help.

Create a Firewall - NAT - Port Forward for udp69633 and forward it to your Synology.

      https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/book/nat/port-forwards.html

Why would you not run the OpenVPN server on pfSense?

        Hi @Elrick75 ,
I have the same problem! Did you fix that?
Whatever I tried I can get a connection to the OpenVPN on the Synology.
