    Hello,

    I have an IOT device that i can not change its firmware that only way to connect to this device from same subnet because of security restriction of the device. I am searching a way to access this device from my laptop where it is in my local LAN subnet. I don't want to change my laptop network configuration when i need to access that IOT device.

    Basically IOT devices are in
    192.168.10.0/24 subnet
    102.168.10.20 the IOT device (Only accepts connection on same subnet)

    My Local Network is:
    192.168.5.0/24
    192.168.5.22 -> my laptop

    What could be the best way to do this ? Thanks in advance.

      Connect to any other device on that LAN accepts RDP.
      Now, use that device to connect to your IOT.

      Or, if you already use OpenVPN, learn what 'tap' can does for you.

      No "help me" PM's please. Use the forum, the community will thank you.
      Edit : and where are the logs ??

        simple solution would to just be a source nat.

        Outbound nat on your iot interface that nats traffic to your pfsense iot interface IP.

        Now this devices thinks any traffic be it coming from an openvpn connection, or even your lan thinks its coming from pfsense iot IP which is in your iot network.
