I'm sure this is probably a no but I'm wondering if it's possible to specify the " Do not allow PD/Address release " option in dhcpc6 somewhere for a specific interface only?
Right now I have AT&T which requires this option to be unchecked and Spectrum which needs it checked and I'm just wondering if there is a way to specify this for the Spectrum side only.

@Lurick I never have read that there is an ISP which require it in any way.

Not sure how a isp could require you to send a release?

@johnpoz Yah, I've had issues with AT&T needing it unchecked but seen that Spectrum needs it checked otherwise your IPv6 prefix will change. The AT&T side I've not fiddled with too much but I swear it would cause issues on their end with the PD requests not renewing but I could be wrong. I need to play around with it more.

Yeah for sure could see that.. Because it would release it.. But not sure how some ISP would need a release from you - for stuff to work.. They might give you a different prefix anyway even if you don't release.. But not sending a release should have nothing to do with getting a prefix in the first place. you sure can not send a release when your first asking for one.
