We are trying to move the router to new hardware and did a full backup.
When we restore the backup to the new hardware the wan interface shows as pppoe but no pppoe settings are not coming into the settings.  I looked at the backup file and the user name and password are there.
I can read the user name and it looks like the password is encrypted.

The password is stored using a reversible hash, not encrypted.

      Are you restoring a 1.2.3 backup to 2.0 or a 2.0 backup?

When you restore, the whole config comes over, it doesn't pick and choose. If a setting was in a certain place before it should be in the same place after restoring.

      Did you reboot after restoring?

The backup was the 2.0 rc.
        We full backup and restore.
        We did reboot after restore.

Do you want me to see if I can replicate this?

Yes, if you can reproduce it every time it would be good to know
