Tried searching but did't find anything

I plan on building a machine based on a Intel® C204 Chipset Board with a Xeon E3 (4Cores). Does it make any sense to integrate a hifn7955 (soekris1401) card for up to 5 simultaneous openvpn connections with lines up to 50MBit? Or will the multicore cpu always be faster encrypting/decrypting and the hifn card will just slow the process down???

    Thanks Stefan

I think your CPU will be way faster than that hifn card. Save your money.

The Hifn cards are only moderately-useful with a slow CPU.  There's actually a decent shot that using it with that CPU will slow you down.

        I can break anything.
