    Hi all,

I have 2 webservers behind a pfSense box. (one IIS7 and one Apache) Bothe webservers host various sites. I only have 1 public IP address so I'm looking into a reverse proxy. As I understood, both packages will do what I need, but why choose one above the other?

    Thanks for your advice

Varnish supports only http. If you need https then try first squid-reverse.

If you need speed and reduce server load on your http servers, use varnish.
