I have been running a snapshot which I installed 2 months ago or so and never updated it until yesterday. Now my Gateway RTT has been showing a consistent ping in the 109ms +-10ms at idle.

I pinged the gateway using windows DOS command prompt and ping is from 6ms to 12ms like it should be. Online upload and download test all seem normal also.

I also used Diagnostics: Ping within Pfsense
    –- xx.xxx.xxx.x ping statistics ---
3 packets transmitted, 3 packets received, 0.0% packet loss
    round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 7.346/7.771/8.366/0.433 ms

    Rounding error?

    Any Ideas?

100ms seems like a ping to an IP out on the internet - does your gateway have an Alternative monitor IP set? (System->Routing)? That would explain the higher ping time, but not why it started when you upgraded.

As the Greek philosopher Isosceles used to say, "There are 3 sides to every triangle."

Monitor IP is the same IP as the Gateway IP

Like I have shown, there seem to be a error in RTT data being displayed in the GUI
