We have an HA pair of pfSense 2.1.4 machines that are configured with a /27 provided by our datacenter provider. They have assigned us an additional /27 and statically routed it to the HA (shared) WAN IP of our current pfSense installation.

Is there anything I need to do beyond adding the new routed /27 as additional CARP IPs on the WAN?

If you use CARP VIPs, you will have to add an Alias IP on each firewall or you will get an error about no matching subnet.
Another option is to use OTHER VIPs, which may work depending on how the provider is routing the block to you.
