    Can I use pgblockerng aliases in Haproxy?

    80758505-9bad-4dad-a80b-c159be1045a2-image.png

    If it was a firewall rule, typing pfb would produce a dropdown to select.

    Here it has to be written, but will it work? Is it supported?

    I saw where the Netgate kernel developer updated the Suricata package in the pfSense 25.07 development branch to work with the new kernel PPPoE driver. But so far as I know that updated package has not been migrated to 2.8 CE.

    Here is the commit into the DEVEL branch: https://github.com/pfsense/FreeBSD-ports/commit/68a06b3a33c690042b61fb4ccfe96f3138e83b72.

    The database name is vnstat.db and its location is under /var/db/vnstat.
    With "Backup Files/Dir" we are able to do backup or also with a cron.

    https://help.zerossl.com/hc/en-us/articles/360060119933-Certificate-Revocation

    edit: oh you prob out of luck

    You can revoke any certificate issued via the ZeroSSL portal. Currently, certificates issued via ACME can not be revoked from inside the portal - please follow the instructions of your ACME client for revoking those certificates.

    the gui in pfsense does not have the ability to revoke - you prob have to move the certs to something you have certbot installed to and revoke that way.

    I had a similar issue with Routed VTI over IPsec recently. FRR lost its neighbors after rebooting or when a tunnel went down. It never re-discovered it automatically. Only restarting FRR (either in GUI or via CLI) brought the neighbors back.

    When I manually added those under the OSPF neighbors tab in the GUI it seems to solve the problem as well.

    For 25.07 RC, this worked for me (run sh first)

    [25.07-RC][root@r1.lan]/root: sh # export IGNORE_OSVERSION=yes # pkg add https://pkg.freebsd.org/FreeBSD:15:amd64/latest/All/tailscale-1.84.2.pkg # service tailscaled restart # tailscale up # tailscale version 1.84.2 go version: go1.24.4 # tailscaled -version 1.84.2 go version: go1.24.4

    @patient0 Thanks for further suggestions. The tunnel is definitely up and so I don't think this is a CGNAT issue after all. WAN firewall rule is in place for UDP on port 51823 (otherwise the tunnel wouldn't work, right?). I can ping from client 1 -> client 2 and visa versa and also ping all points in between like you suggest. I just can't open an HTTPS connection from pfSenseB from Client 1 using a browser. But I can do this the other way round i.e. from Client 2 to pfSenseA

    I will try and do some packet capture to see if that reveals anything.

    installed today snort and having that same error: 2.0-BETA5 (amd64) built on Thu Feb 24 18:23:48 EST 2011, snort: 2.8.6.1 pkg v. 1.35.

    replaced the /usr/local/etc/snort/snort.conf by /usr/local/etc/snort_7413_pppoe0/snort.conf.

    But now i get tons of errors like this when starting snort via commandline:

    usr/local/etc/snort/snort_7413_pppoe0/rules/snort_netbios.rules(58): GID 1 SID 2349 in rule duplicates previous rule. Ignoring old rule.
    ERROR: /usr/local/etc/snort/snort_7413_pppoe0/rules/snort_netbios.rules(72) GID 1 SID 2511 in rule duplicates previous rule, with different protocol.
    Fatal Error, Quitting..

    Any hints? thanks

    Nothing was done. Maybe just not properly describe version

    PS now:
    pfSense 1.2.3 - SG 1.3_1
    pfSense 2.0 - SG 1.4_2

    And the file http://www.pfsense.org/packages/config/squidGuard/squidguard.xml contains 1.3_1 version.

    This is a bug in the version descriptions.

    I wish there was but it's an avaya ipoffice system and there is no way to set the wan ip in the sip headers.  Thats why I thought of using a proxy to fix the headers.

    I'm having the same problem, snort doesn't load the custom whitelist i created. My work IPs get block all the time.  I'm using the latest 2.0 BETA5 snapshot, Stable 2.8.6.1 pkg v. 1.35. I know Robert is working on a new release 2.0 so hopefully that will fix it. Since 2.0 is in beta I would rather him spend is time on the new release then fix the old one. just my thoughts

    @getut:

    @jimp:

    There are several other threads here on this forum about blocking extensions with squidguard, proper regexes to do it, etc. Some searching should turn them up.

    Ok.. I'll look again. I had searched and found more than I could shake a stick at but the ones I found I must have misunderstood or not read deeply enough, but they seemed to be all or none regex blocking. But I'll admit I'm coming from a Bluecoat environment though, so I am probably scanning the threads looking for something similar to how it was done there and missing things.

    My previous error was associated with the overflow table sizes. I fixed it.
    Now it works, but the logs written some suspicious messages, like this:
    Feb 24 10:36:19 havp[27558]: accept() failed: Software caused connection abort
    Feb 24 10:34:47 havp[27586]: accept() failed: Software caused connection abort

    spamd is there for 2.0, and it works there.

    If you're still running 1.2.3-RC1 and not release, you may as well run 2.0. Neither are official releases. :-)

    Odd as the default LAN rule only allows traffic on ports 80 and 22. Can your LAN computers make DNS requests outside of the network eg OpenDNS 208.67.222.222.
    If so your rules are wrong or in the wrong order.

    @Cino:

    If you know all their IP addresses or a IP range, add it to the whitelist. I do this for my work's IP range and it works like a charm. If it didn't, I wouldnt be able to OpenVPN because a block rule would be auto-created because of the portscan preprocessor.

    Whitelisting is a crazy thing todo if you ask me. You never know what other people got on there computers.

    That was my finding as well. You'll find that if you enable ssl it redirects to the correct directory.

    What exactly did you do to make barnyard2 to start logging?  I've purged the barnyard2 waldo file but still no logging in mysql.  The related schema was imported and permissions were permitted for the snort host.  I'm able to connect to port 3306/tcp on the pfSense host.
