@SteveITS Possibly something with that ESMTPSA > SMTP > ESMTPS. But yeah, who knows.

@sef1414 Name it "run.sh", copy to pf and chmod according documentation https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/development/boot-commands.html#shell-script-option You will see messages in the system log like those quoted in the script after logger command.

It would help if you provided details of your connection- DHCP, PPTP, etc. I've never had this problem with fifty+ boxes in the field, but most of the connections are business-class with static IPs.

While it does not show bandwidth used, TCPView gets most of the other information about active connections: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb897437.aspx

My idea is that you ask EBTables questions on the EBTables mailing lists ;) Seriously, you're asking about a Linux specific tool on a forum regarding a custom FreeBSD platform.  While you'll get some help, it's about as much sense as asking your optician for advice on stomach pains.

The malware was very specific about the CPU architecture it targeted.  So not only wouldn't it have worked against pfSense because it's a different OS, but it wouldn't have worked because AFAIK pfSense doesn't run on that CPU ;)

@Zash: Doubt it… Just tried the same torrent on a different network, and it had over 2000 seeders... Ok you didnt include in your original post that the torrent works on another network. Usually you can get the status of the swarm even if you cannot connect to it. (you dont have 0/0 seeds). Do you have a restrictive firewallset? Any entries in the firewall log?

@jimp: If you connect as root it isn't locked into the menu. The admin login is the one locked into the menu. I haven't tried batch commands with ssh, but doing a one line "shutdown -p now", as the original poster in the thread did, does work. They did it like so : plink -ssh -pw passwd root@192.168.1.1 "/sbin/shutdown -h now" If I use putty to connect to the box and I log in as root, I still get the menu….no command prompt.  how can I remedy this?  it is a stock standard installation of pfsense....

It is very resource-intensive. According to the glTail author, he has done quite a bit of work on optimization but that has not made it into a version that works on windows yet. If you are running Ubuntu or another Linux platform, you might have better luck with the current version from the author's git repo.
