There are alias deny for blocking and using that option the events will show in the Deny Stats. Alias Native doesn't use any deduplication. Alias Permit/Match should be selected if they are destined for a permit or match rule.

@sef1414 Name it "run.sh", copy to pf and chmod according documentation https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/development/boot-commands.html#shell-script-option You will see messages in the system log like those quoted in the script after logger command.

@Gertjan Thanks This is what I have implemented. A script which runs daily polls a NAS folder and if there is indications that a file is present (I "physically" copy the backup of dhcp server from router to this folder) then the script runs and populates a database. Since dhcp rarely changes, I do not want to automate things. I do take a backup of ALL if I made a change to the router.

@fireodo said in Email Notify: and that puts me on the track that it has to do with pfsense ... Check the mail - the mail headers. Both mails, your NAS and pfSense, come from the same IPv4 : your pfSense WAN IP - if you are still using the 'depreciated' network : IPv4 - with IPv6, the addresses will be different although still within your prefix pool, probably a /56. Both mails use the same login ID's. Only the content divers, so filters on the gmail side are just trying to 'help' you sorting out desired mail ^^

@michmoor said in Tailscale is pretty awesome: For other people, have you used tailscale beyond the basic access control it offers? Using tags? I use TS for remote access to my entire network (NAS, SMB/SSH access, security system, cameras, lighting control, streaming OTA tuner, etc.) I use TS ACLs to allow guest remote access to my streaming OTA tuner.
