You're right it shouldn't. I tested all the skins myself and all have parts that don't display correctly. Using dark reader solved almost everything and was trivial so I went with that.

There are alias deny for blocking and using that option the events will show in the Deny Stats. Alias Native doesn't use any deduplication. Alias Permit/Match should be selected if they are destined for a permit or match rule.

@pfboy most lists have a way to submit for removal.. I would have to know which specific list to give specifics - but yeah any lists I have ever seen have a way to at least request removal. How fast or how responsive they might be is questionable.. Sure it is possible that one stray email could be reported.. But that is unlikely - but sure possible.. Most of the reputable lists want some sort of evidence on to why you are reporting an IP or email address. And normally they would need more than 1 report before listing sure. Many of the lists for forums require a membership with a fee for forum owners to use. And then they are the really the only ones that can report.. All depends on this list - but for this example I checked multiple lists, and the IP they are coming from is listed all over the place - just recently, like the last few days of reports.. With also ones from a while back, etc. Not just a couple from back in 2024 or something.. His IP is from some sort of vpn/privacy - hide me sort of IP, so yeah most likely multiple users of that same IP.. So the reputation of that IP is not good.. The actual origin is in question.. He mentioned Cambodia, but the owner of the IP is not that country.. And I checked multiple IP info sort of sites, and I showed even a different location for that IP that was not the owning country or Cambodia.. Also the email he registered with is a large company for privacy in email - not saying its just spammers, sure there are many legit users and uses for it.. But it is used to actually hide your real email - which is breeding ground for spam.. Not like you can not do that with really any domain that lets you create new emails. But the domain in question I have seen blocked by many a forum, and also instantly flagged as spam on many email sites.. So if you want to get email from someone from that email domain, you need to white list the address, etc. To continue about reputation of IPs in general.. That is a big thing when selling IPs - a few years back when the company I worked for sold off some of their space.. Part of the transaction and negotiation of price was checking that is was clean space - ie not on every blacklist under the sun, etc. Ours was spotless, because we were selling off space that had never actually been used, at least going back a decade or more. In the past I have had to work with getting ips off lists.. Back in the day when machines would get infected with spam sending stuff.. You could for sure get your exchange servers IP blacklisted.. That is painful to deal with for sure. When your big company you can normally just change the IP of your email server once your users are cleaned up so no longer sending, or put blocks in place, etc. Which really should of been there before the issue. It for sure behooves you to keep an eye on your IPs and their reputation - you sure wouldn't want your customers not getting email because your IP is now blacklisted, etc.

Yeah I usually nuke the content entirely these days just to make it cleaner but I think only admin can do that. I can at least clean that up.

@stephenw10 This is my final note since it seem you will always look at this as an endpoint. It doesn't appear, it actually is, the facts are the facts. Still, moderator usually have a way to remove posts and ban single users, not just the entire herd, or at least the ones use. Perhaps those are more advance, or perhaps netgate forums lack that functionality. I never said negate took this issue lightly, I was just looking for some feedback. I have seen this process many times and for the looks of it, pfsense CE is very much in maintenance mode. Just because netgate wants to be politically correct does not mean it is not. The fact are there and they are fallowing the same path as others did. Again, this subject is just becoming redundant and it is affecting other users in the forum.

@microserfs and what IP was that - clearly your current IPv6 address is not block that I show you connected with.. And the only other IPv4 I see you using is not blocked.. You would have to let me know what IP you were coming from that was blocked.. Send it to me via PM if you don't want to make it public.

@johnpoz said in My IP suddenly black listed - Who should I contact?: I am sorry that bad people use vpns to do spam stuff.. Don't use them if you want to post on the forum is the only thing I can suggest. When we see spammers using a known vpn network, or something that is not a normal user connection IP, like digital ocean or any other sort of hosting site - they normally get added to the block list, to prevent them or their buddies from using that network in the future to add more spam. Tell you what - we will remove all the blocklists if you agree to watch the forums 24/7 and delete all the spam the minute its posted ;) It sucks that we have to do this - but I don't think the typical user understands the amount of spam this site gets.. And how much more possible spam is prevented by the block list. If didn't clean it up and delete it as soon as seen or reported.. Nobody would want to use this forum, because it wouldn't be nothing but spam! If you are having with a legit normal user ISP network, please let us know and be happy to remove the block and deal with some extra spam.. But known vpn type IPs are just spam networks.. We do not go out of our way to block them - but when we see spam coming from them, yes they are added to the block list.. I understand and agree with most that You wrote here. And appreciate the passion, customer care and patience! But anyway, there would be more and more peoples who using true VPNs or proxy-VPNs (like CloudFlare) to secure or speed up their internet connection. And the same time more and more spammers using cloud-based platforms like Amazon, Azure to create VPS server with spamming bots, acting thru the 3rd side VPN services/proxies, and than kill this virtual VPS server. They create hundreds of thousands in a day. Automatically, by schedule, with help of orchestration tools like Ansible, Terraform, k8,… for a very small amount of money. What You doing with this automated enemy giant as user forum Security Admin? Banning all Amazon S3 public IPs? Banning all CloudFlare public IPs? Doing this day-by-day manually by tweaking Snort/Suricata paid rules? May be better to: cut off all non-democracy countries (like Iran, china, russia, etc…); use Suricata/Snort payed rules; upgrade forum engine to recognize the bots and make permanent block (even Joomla & Wordpress have a lot of extensions to automate this procedure); Instead of banning any addresses from most famous service provider, like CloudFlare. (Here I need to note, that Netgate already have a numbers of blog post’s about integration pfSense & CloudFlare. So, this legitimate CloudFlare as trusted service for pfSense users. And of course many of them sometime starting to use WARP/WARP+ service from the CloudFlare. And…ups! Unwanted banned on official pfSense user forum…). Is this a right way of “world's leading firewall, router, and VPN solution for network edge and cloud secure networking. With millions of installations worldwide…” as Netgate wrote in their blog? Where am I wrong? :))

@stephenw10 As pfSense.org uses a Let's encrypt cert, I can suggest acme.sh. acme.sh is available for everybody, not only pfSense users ^^ Been using it since day 1 : it's perfect
