@jimp I'm not saying you're wrong :) though there are ways to create a post without first entering the topic. For instance the unread posts page has a New Topic button at the top of the page. That page is my main entrance to the forum.

I think I figured it out. The post contained two instances of a string containing the characters less-than hyphen hyphen greater-than to represent a network connection. When I replaced those strings with entity references < and >for the less-than and greater-than it went through. Akismet could be a bit smarter, no?

That's the thing: the email on the old account SHOULD be the same as the one I used to set up this account and the username matches the email address. I don't know if my old account was hacked or disabled or what. I would think an admin would be able to contact me directly without me throwing my email on a public forum.

There isn't a limit on screenshots or word count, though image sizes are limited (Max 2MB per image and they must be under 5000px in both dimensions). No word count limit. PDF attachments are not allowed.

Most of the feeds are hosted by people like you and me at their own web servers. Some new one might exist, some are gone, some could be down. Also : be careful : feeds could contain any IP or any host name. Also the ones you want it to contain. Keep on checking the logs (alert log) when you activate a new feed.
