Yeah, fix your custom pages which have port 8000 apparently hardcoded.

Hi itlab you dont have to find it anywhere . create an HTML file in whatever HTML editor you have goto Services -> Captive portal -> scroll down to "Portal page contents" copy this somewhere in your HTML file between     … save. back to pfsense upload the HTML file you just created to pfsense. done please note that if you have image references in your HTML you have to upload them too through  File Manager "Services -> Captive portal -> File Manager" also note that the image files will be renamed to captiveportal_xxx.jpg so you have to rename them accordingly in your HTML

Hi, Initial voucher settings don't need to be modified, ones setup correctly. According to me, creating a new role with vouchers is a matter of clicking in the plus ( + ) button and then the blue ! button will show them all. print or save the page and that it. I agree, all these setting called bits, keys, ticket, checksum etc look daunting. But, hey, don't worry, you can tell you clients that "driving a car" or "piloting a plane" needs some understanding, training. Managing a firewall like pfSense isn't exempted to this. But: a partial solution is possible. Knowing that voucher code are generated buy pfSense, you could store them "some where" in a file on the pfSense system. All you have to do is adding a new tab on this page: "Status: Captive portal" where you list all created vouchers, and for each voucher you could show if it is being used, how much time is left, a "block" button to disable it, etc. This means you could it make a easy for your client as you decide : your coding skills will determine the final result. => Kortom: werk aan de winkel ;) Btw : "overall performance" is vague. many screens are can inform the admin about what's going on.

@doktornotor: Dude, you realize this is a firewall, right? And the portal page is supposed to be a simple form for login/voucher input/click through some TOS. What on earth you cannot fit into 1MB? I'm turning into into an epic captive portal device instead of a firewall. You can call it whatever you want, but for me, it's PFCaptivePortalOfAwesome.

@Gertjan: @dylanh724: Why are you even on this forum if you believe we have no control? That's what PFS is about mate :) In the time you said this, I logged into /etc/captiveportal-logout-something , took out the js that made it a popup, and suddenly works fine, just an ugly window that can be edited. Because its a free world. You have the right to be wrong. Me also  ;) Anyway, your new approach isn't a popup solution (as implemented by pfSense) but you use the Redirect - which is, I guess, a better solution. Just one question : why isn't it implemented already ? @dylanh724: http://pfsip:8000/?logouturl=&sessionid=&cpzone=&logout= Now, that's why I'm here  ;D Have a look at this https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=77143.0 - read all pages (more then 6) and you will find out how to access this needed $sessionid so you can create an URL that will log you out. Oooooh… thank you free world :) I'll take a look "Why isn't this already implemented as a feature?" Good question! This should really be the default feature with popup blockers being almost default these days.

@dylanh724: Every time, it fails. Adding to the "allowed IP addresses" is apparently only port 80.. how do I allow a different port on same allowed IP? It doesn't allow me to specify. Help! I already showed you ( https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=69499.msg494565#msg494565 ) that devices that are on the "Captive Portal network segment" can communicate freely when their IP is on the "Allow" list. But, of course, (your !) firewall rules on the "Captive Portal network segment interface" apply for 'outgoing' connections. As asked before : do you really have no time to hand over a more details network setup ? This I have a RESTful service to send login info to on port 7833 (I can change the port, but no other port works but 80 – but can't do 80). might be a reasonable question for you. Understand that a lot of info is missing, and this (might) explain why there are no answers.
