Thank you for sharing VGA Dummy. And then i owned that...It helped my mini PC work well which doesn't need a plug-in monitor when booting up
Everybody can seek a lots dummy on the internet with the lowest price (About 1$)

I had tried a bunch of things from the troubleshooting guide but had missed the package re-install. Looks like that did it. I'm on 2.7.2 now.

This is resolved. A hardware update caused an NDI change.

It definitely isn't and wasn't CE because there has never been an arm64 CE build. 😉

Just to be clear it should upgrade with no problems. I tested numerous times in different configurations on the 1100.

Yes we could probably improve the wording there. It depends on how that sees the error.
It is actually an improvement already. Previously it always reported 'latest version' even if it couldn't actually check.

I was able to set this option by choosing "3. Escape to loader prompt" and using these commands:
set hw.mfi.mrsas_enable="1"
boot

The drives then showed up as da0 and da1 with the manufacturer/model displayed instead of just mfisyspd. Installation worked and it boots!

Still trying to find a way to get a boot log from the installer.

So looks like this is FreeBSD installer not properly recognizing some hardware RAID controllers and loading MFI driver instead MRSAS.

Recently I have similar problem when CE (probable the Plus also) version, when installer not see VDRIVE at all if it was ZFS formatted. And installer able to see, choose and successfully installing pfSense on it and working w/o any issues ONLY WHEN RE-INITILIZE TGE SAME VDRIVE ON RAID CONTROLLER’S LEVEL (from it’s BIOS menu).

I wrote bug to pfSense bugzilla, but still no solution from pfSense DevTeam. (May be because this is mostly problem on FreeBSD side, not on pfSense. And the second - this issue not affect exactly pfSense’s hardware, , only users with bare metal DIY servers, so not have higher priority to resolving…).

What exactly do you mean by options 1 and 2?

If for some reason your system cannot work with the current Net Installer you can ask for the legacy installer. If it's using a PPPoE WAN for example.
If it was an upgrade from CE though that wasn't available. You would have to reinstall CE 2.7.2 and upgrade to Plus again.

No, not really. And OpenSSL no longer supports hardware engines like that anyway.

OK so it seems like whatever is running DHCP for those VMs is not passing any DNS servers. That is presumably some Hyper-V setting.

I know this is a old thread, but I was in a similar boat and with the help of the other *sense forum I got it working:

There's a open PR/Diff for FreeBSD regarding "stand: add EFI support for mmio serial consoles". It links to a blog post from 2018 How to get a memory mapped serial console.

TL;DR: at the boot loader OK prompt: set hw.uart.console="mm:0xfedc9000,rs:2"

That did it for me. I started with FreeBSD 14.1 where it didn't work either and made me way to pfSense 2.7.2 CE.

Now the issue is that applying it to /boot/loader.conf.local doesn't work in pfSense but it does in FreeBSD 14.1. For that I'll create a new thread.
That was answered in post in where to put hw.uart.console setting so it sticks after reboot

Adding the following to /boot/loader.conf.local:

console="efi" hw.uart.console="mm:0xfedc9000,rs:2"

worked for me.
