So you booted from a memory stick? What exact image did you write to it? What hardware are you using? Steve

What's the pfSense WAN IP address?  If it's in the private range, do you have your General Settings set to block private IP space?

After 2 day of trial and error, I found out the hard way that the swedish tutorial at sweclockers.se was totally wrong (  http://www.sweclockers.com/forum/14-natverk-och-uppkoppling/889984-bygg-din-egen-router-med-pfsense/  ). In the tutorial it was said to do the LiveCD configuration first, and that didnt work at all, the installation program halted I never got passed selecting the LAN interfaces. Finaly after 2 days of trying to follow the tutorial I gave up and did the totally opposite of what the tutorial said, and formatted the drive and installed the software to the harddrive first, and then I ran the LiveCD and everything went like clockwork.

Hmm, tricky. So what's the difference? Is this a server issue or something related to the forwarding rules? (hard to know what that might be though). Not really sure what to suggest.  :-\ Steve

Sounds like the box is using the proxy itself and that setting is not being correctly removed. Probably better to post this in the packages section. Steve

I found the problem and its kind of a bug . My system has 2 on board and 2 extra lan cards 3 com/realtec/marvel chip When i enable both on board lan cards , none of the lan cards can communicate with the rest of the network , what ever i do and which card i choose. by the time i disable on board cards both extra lan cards works fine. I suppose this it a bug

booting yes installing on SSD no for some strange reason it will not boot pfSense without the USB plugged into it. Also having just the USB will not boot pfSense either. However I did multiple test booting of the BIOS to see whether storage devices get changed in boot order. Yes its definitively related to other dependencies. I'm unfortunately a Newbie in FreeBSD. Is there anymore here who already faced those issues ? Have you been able to install any other packages ??

Do a fresh install of pfSense and load your config, everything else is apparently a waste of time…

I didnt mention that my installation is an amd64… because of that i used : pkg_add -rvf ftp://ftp-archive.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD-Archive/ports/amd64/packages-8.3-release/Latest/p5-GD.tbz after installation i have to full refresh report page (ctrl+f5) and everything seems to be fine now!
