can I run 2 Pfsesne as Active or Active and Active or Passive .
I need two Pfsense at same time in my production environment. -
@shakeel said in Pfsense Return to their default setting.:
Can you share me some steps or pic
During the restore it prompts you to pick which is LAN and which is WAN. I don't know of a web page to give you, sorry.

Yes, see
https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/highavailability/index.htmlI would ask about that in the HA forum though.

@steveits
Thanks -
When you import the config it will take you to the interfaces re-assign screen so you can assign the new interfaces before it reboots.
You can run pfSense in High Availability as Acitve-Passive:

Hi,
I am facing the Captcha issue ,when I route a traffic through my PFsense Gateway.it appear on my Browser on Every Search.it my be a google or Firefox.. Please someone here to Resolve this issue In PFsense. -
@shakeel
https://support.google.com/websearch/thread/2596872?hl=enthis says reinstall Chrome:
https://support.google.com/chrome/thread/19766057/annoying-chrome-asks-for-captcha-every-single-time?hl=enNot sure why you think it's pfSense related? You mention "though pfSense" but are other attempts coming from the same public IP address?
-
@steveits
is it possible due to Proxy server setting like (Snort) or any other services In PFsense. -
More likely because pfSense it sending that traffic over a VPN.
A proxy on pfSense would not change the source IP.
Snort is an IDS/IPS not a proxy. Squid is an http proxy. But it's not either of those things.

@stephenw10
I have three public ips and configured load balancer .and I wnat to Know
Public IPS status for example
link 1 when down and when up,and how much time down. -
So.... unrelated to the previous issue with Google search?
You should open a new thread.

@stephenw10
but how I check their down time. -
So you want to log any down time on each gateway?
You can check the gateway logs for alarm entries it will show when a gateway is marked down and when it is back up.

If this, what you are reporting here, was pointed to a power
outage, you might be perhaps als looking for a qualified
UPS unit (Uninterruptible power supply) also. It should
then be able to hold both pfSense firewalls if you run a
active/passive setup. Try tog et the same box again
might be also nice for narrow down troubleshooting.
