      As the title says
      pfsense 2.7.0-RELEASE (amd64) crashes
      Can't add a crash report
Because it is too long and there is a limit here in the forum
so I put it in a file

Now I surf the internet through a mobile device
Because the pfsense system does not come up at all
In the middle of activation it just hangs
Is there a way to save it or just reinstall

          Do you have a screenshot?

If the filesystem is readable you can reinstall pfSense and choose to pick up the config file from the disk.
Or install with default settings and restore from backup.

Ok, this doesn't tell me much. Maybe someone else can help here.
Seems to happen on a very early point of the boot up process.
Maybe it could be a hardware failure. Can you check it with another live system?

So the process is in Snort but the backtrace isn't familiar. It may have just happened to be Snort that time.
Do the crash reports look the same every time?

                Steve

the crash report is very long i add it to a file in the first message I wrote
Because there is a character limit for messages here and it was not possible to upload it

How did you get the crash dump file?

The backtrace is usually the most important part. But also the 'current process' line is what shows as Snort in that fort report. You should be able to see that at the console if it crashes again.

You can try booting into single user mode and manually editing the config or copying in an older config.

                        the first time it happen
the computer did boot up even in the second time
So I could copy the crash report

All this looks like a hardware failure, a memory failure, or maybe a storage, I don’t know…
Perhaps due to a failure, the file system is completely damaged.

If the actual crash is different every time that does start to look like hardware. Is it actually returning a different backtrace?

If this is an unofficial Netgate SSD, I would suggest you replace that before a reload. It has issues pointing to files. Or memory, but the system bios runs. . .

Replace the SSD and reload it.

hardware failure It means to reinstall
Because pfsense is installed on one ssd disk
If I remove it I have no option to reload it

When checking the bios I get a message that the disk is good
                                  I checked the disc
                                  the memories

I will try to replace the memories before I replace the SSD
                                  Otherwise it's reinstall everything

@firefox We had some issues with Cisco routers doing this a couple years ago during the holidays. Cisco had information on a set of products that had defective RAM causing the memory pointer error. We must have replaced hundreds of memory sticks after that preemptively. This looks exactly like that. Good catch. Let us know how it turns out with the new memory sticks. You're right on with isolationing the issue.

Do you mean the format of the disk?

In any case, a small update, I only got to mess with it today
                                          I replaced the computer's memories
There were 4 sticks of 4 gigabytes, that is 16 gigabytes
I removed them and put 2 new ones of 4 GB
                                          Meanwhile the computer is working

                                          I surf through another router
If by the end of the day it doesn't cause problems I will add 2 more new 4 gig sticks
Then wait to see what happens
