Use pkg remove.

I meant install an mSATA drive into the 4860 and switch to booting from that instead. But if you have a complete spare unit it's not really an issue.

This is the first tough that come in to my head after I push "Post" button in this forum :)

Wenn möglich ZFS benutzen, das ist robuster und geht i.d.R. nicht ganz so schnell kaputt.
Ansonsten natürlich schauen dass dir nichts das Filesystem komplett voll schreibt, nicht einfach den Stecker ziehen, usw. Eigentlich alles was für andere Computersysteme auch gilt. ☺
