SG-3100 Upgrade Failure - crashed flash?
-
Hi,
after a year laying in the cellar i wanted to update my SG3100 and re-use it for my new installation.
I did had 2.4.x installed and tried to do a upgrade to latest 21.x version. The box was not really able to booot afterwards and does currently output the following on boot:
BootROM - 1.73 Booting from SPI flash General initialization - Version: 1.0.0 AVS selection from EFUSE disabled (Skip reading EFUSE values) Overriding default AVS value to: 0x23 Detected Device ID 6820 High speed PHY - Version: 2.0 Init Customer board board SerDes lanes topology details: | Lane # | Speed| Type | ------------------------------| | 0 | 3 | SATA0 | | 1 | 5 | PCIe0 | | 2 | 3 | SATA1 | | 3 | 4 | SGMII2 | | 4 | 5 | PCIe1 | | 5 | 5 | USB3 HOST1 | ------------------------------- PCIe, Idx 0: detected no link PCIe, Idx 1: detected no link High speed PHY - Ended Successfully mv_ddr: mv_ddr-armada-17.06.1-g07f8294 (Aug 11 2017 - 13:12:46)
I tried to reset the box again, but i am unable to see any signs of life from the box. No LED lights or ethernet status et all.
I tried to search that exact case in forums but not really sure how to deal with the problem. Any Ideas?

Any Ideas?
Get a USB drive, get a recent copy of pfSense from Netgate (ask them), flash the copy to the drive (see manual how to flash), stick the usb drive into the 3100 and boot from the UDB drive ?

That's all the output?
That's very early in the boot process, in uboot before it even tries to boot anything.
If it was still booting 2.4.X and you simply ran the upgrade I would not expect a failure at that point. That looks more like a hardware issue if that really is all the output it's showing.
