Retested on 24.11-RELEASE (amd64) all seems to work. So it seems right to file a bug for this issue.

@pulsartiger The database name is vnstat.db and its location is under /var/db/vnstat. With "Backup Files/Dir" we are able to do backup or also with a cron.

Is it normal to see these entries under Reports -> DNSBL Reply Stats? I have filtered for feodotracker. [image: 1754383447533-filter.png] If I look under Overview tab I see stuff happening now but once I click the little 2 to send me to Alerts it shows no Alerts there. [image: 1754383667060-track.png] I also see a lot of 127.0.0.1 and sometimes my local IPs. Is there a way to see which device made the connection under 127.0.0.1? I also assume these are supposed to show up once an hour when the new lists are checked? [image: 1754384589814-resolv.png]

@jhg said in NUT fails to start after 2.7.2 -> 2.8.0 upgrade: Interesting. I would have thought the initial reboot, which occurred as part of the upgrade, would have done the trick, but it took a second reboot, just now, to get things working. Glad you have it sorted. There was no difference in the output of usbconfig show_ifdrv at any point -- before or after unplugging/replugging the USB cable, nor after rebooting. ... Question: What would tell me whether or not a driver was loaded? If there were an attached driver, it should have shown up with the show_ifdrv command. If you use the command and look at the other usb devices, I think they will show attached drivers. I don't expect to see a driver attached to the ups, because there is a quirk that tells the OS to ignore that device (and not attach a driver). Look for idVendor and idProduct in the above output. The Vendor ID for your device is 0764, which corresponds to Cyber Power Systems, and the Product ID for your device is 0601, which is registered as "PR1500LCDRT2U UPS" (don't sweat an exact match for the name). You can see the quirk with the following command: [25.07-RC][root@fw]/root: usbconfig dump_device_quirks | grep 0764 VID=0x0764 PID=0x0005 REVLO=0x0000 REVHI=0xffff QUIRK=UQ_HID_IGNORE VID=0x0764 PID=0x0501 REVLO=0x0000 REVHI=0xffff QUIRK=UQ_HID_IGNORE VID=0x0764 PID=0x0601 REVLO=0x0000 REVHI=0xffff QUIRK=UQ_HID_IGNORE [25.07-RC][root@fw]/root: Your device is third on the list. The HID_IGNORE quirk says to ignore the device and not attach a driver. @jhg said in NUT fails to start after 2.7.2 -> 2.8.0 upgrade: You might consider adding this resolution to the release notes for 2.8. LOL... sorry, I don't have input to the release notes (I don't work here). While I wrote and maintain various packages, including NUT, I'm still just a volunteer. Most packages are actually written by volunteers.

@EChondo What's your pfSense version ? The instructions are shown here : [image: 1753262126227-1acdc586-cb29-4148-9e36-81ade4e5e60c-image.png] A restart of a service will start by re creating their config files. If a certificate changed, it will get included. When the process starts, it will use the new certificate. @EChondo said in Issue with ACME Certificates Refresh & Restarting HAProxy: I haven't been able to confirm if the above works(mine just renewed, don't feel like doing it again just to test), so we'll see in 60 days I guess. No need to wait x days. You can re test / renew right away, as you are 'allowed' to renew a couple (5 max ?) of times per week.

Hi again, to be honest: I guess, I did not remember exactly what I did 2 years ago. May I was mistaken by the interface name opt2 because the SG-3100 has a physical port OPT1 and I mixed up physical and virtual names. The goal was to use 2 different tunnels, one for the mobile clients and one for the site-2-site connection. And now all is running in that way . Regards

@GruensFroeschli: The IGMP proxy is already in the base and not a package anymore. You can configure it under "Services –> IGMP proxy" Isn't already installed on pfsense just like GruensFroeschli said?

@Nachtfalke: @trendchiller: Hi ! until now i'd recommend you using pfSense 2.x with the squid-reverse-package, since it includes all features currently, but still depends on squid 2.7. I'm working on porting the features to squid 3.1 and want to create a new package or update or else, not sure by now… squid3 is mainly for testing so far... but seems to work so far... but i do not have any feedback if the auth settings still work, since these are from squid 2.7 and in 3.1 they might be different... @trendchiller Do you me the "User Auth" using RADIUS or other systems ? If yes then I probably find some time to test with FreeRADIUS2 package when I am at home. Perhaps it will help you when you open a squid3 thread and/or a page on pfsense docs where you put in all points which do not work or of which you are unsure if they are working. then people can participate and give you feedback. I am very interested in squid3 package but till now I do not know why it is just alpha and how to help on this. :) I did some basic testing yesterday with Squid3 and FreeRadius2 last night. I can confirm that it indeed works for basic user auth (prompted for username to gain access to the web)

Hey, which architecture are you using? I'm using pfsense 2.0.1 amd64 and I can't seem to get it to work I first tried downloading the 64bit barnyard and uploading it to the pfsense box on /usr/local/bin/: i386 http://files.pfsense.com/packages/8/All/barnyard2 X64 http://files.pfsense.com/packages/amd64/8/All/barnyard2 but this did not work, so I did the following command: chmod u+x /usr/local/bin/barnyard2 This didn't work so then I did the following: pkg_delete mysql-client-5.1.53 pkg_add -r http://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/amd64/packages-8-stable/Latest/barnyard2.tbz but its still not working…. :(

I have none whitelisted. I tested it by enabling all emerging rules, thus all sorts of alerts pop up. However, only the (http_inspect) alerts are blocked. Blocking is enabled, along with all the preprocessors. Snort is running - I tried reinstalling, manually updating rules, rebooting. Also, checked the system logs -all seem well. But no other alerts are blocked. I'm stumped. What am I doing wrong?

Indeed it turned out to be p2p, had to rummage through the computers on my network to find it as it didn't show up in the state tables or sockstat as a local connection - sneaky stuff, those p2p networks!

I had hoped that an approach like the one discussed in http://old.nabble.com/-patch–pf-PPTP-nat-passthrough-patch.-td16047825.html would have been implemented since (the discussion is almost 4 years old)

@biggsy: It's a pity that you can only see packages that haven't been installed in the Available Packages page - no easy way to see if the currently installed version is out of date. When there is updates to installed packages, you can see your current version and updated version available.

In my case the packages snort.tgz etc. were not installed correctly. Where is the snort binary. How can i reinstall this file. Now i am looking log files it gives some error it likes snort[32143]: FATAL ERROR: /usr/local/etc/snort/snort_52423_re0/snort.conf(145) => Unable to open the IIS Unicode Map file '/usr/local/etc/snort/snort_52423_re0/unicode.map'.
