@jhg said in NUT fails to start after 2.7.2 -> 2.8.0 upgrade: Interesting. I would have thought the initial reboot, which occurred as part of the upgrade, would have done the trick, but it took a second reboot, just now, to get things working. Glad you have it sorted. There was no difference in the output of usbconfig show_ifdrv at any point -- before or after unplugging/replugging the USB cable, nor after rebooting. ... Question: What would tell me whether or not a driver was loaded? If there were an attached driver, it should have shown up with the show_ifdrv command. If you use the command and look at the other usb devices, I think they will show attached drivers. I don't expect to see a driver attached to the ups, because there is a quirk that tells the OS to ignore that device (and not attach a driver). Look for idVendor and idProduct in the above output. The Vendor ID for your device is 0764, which corresponds to Cyber Power Systems, and the Product ID for your device is 0601, which is registered as "PR1500LCDRT2U UPS" (don't sweat an exact match for the name). You can see the quirk with the following command: [25.07-RC][root@fw]/root: usbconfig dump_device_quirks | grep 0764 VID=0x0764 PID=0x0005 REVLO=0x0000 REVHI=0xffff QUIRK=UQ_HID_IGNORE VID=0x0764 PID=0x0501 REVLO=0x0000 REVHI=0xffff QUIRK=UQ_HID_IGNORE VID=0x0764 PID=0x0601 REVLO=0x0000 REVHI=0xffff QUIRK=UQ_HID_IGNORE [25.07-RC][root@fw]/root: Your device is third on the list. The HID_IGNORE quirk says to ignore the device and not attach a driver. @jhg said in NUT fails to start after 2.7.2 -> 2.8.0 upgrade: You might consider adding this resolution to the release notes for 2.8. LOL... sorry, I don't have input to the release notes (I don't work here). While I wrote and maintain various packages, including NUT, I'm still just a volunteer. Most packages are actually written by volunteers.

@EChondo What's your pfSense version ? The instructions are shown here : [image: 1753262126227-1acdc586-cb29-4148-9e36-81ade4e5e60c-image.png] A restart of a service will start by re creating their config files. If a certificate changed, it will get included. When the process starts, it will use the new certificate. @EChondo said in Issue with ACME Certificates Refresh & Restarting HAProxy: I haven't been able to confirm if the above works(mine just renewed, don't feel like doing it again just to test), so we'll see in 60 days I guess. No need to wait x days. You can re test / renew right away, as you are 'allowed' to renew a couple (5 max ?) of times per week.

Barring that, try again later and see if it still fails. I was able to successfully run the command on my 2.8.0 install (I didn't install it because I've already installed it) so it seems localized. Hi again, to be honest: I guess, I did not remember exactly what I did 2 years ago. May I was mistaken by the interface name opt2 because the SG-3100 has a physical port OPT1 and I mixed up physical and virtual names. The goal was to use 2 different tunnels, one for the mobile clients and one for the site-2-site connection. And now all is running in that way . Regards

@jimp: @miquim: i have the same problem, the test mail in advanced settings works but on mailreport not work with this comand /usr/bin/grep /bin/date -v-1d "+%Y-%m-%d" /var/squidGuard/log/block.log | /usr/bin/grep -v in-addr I am using pfsense 2.4 and its works on comand line and with pfsense 2.3 before I updated to 2.4 That box isn't meant for complex shell commands, odds are something is getting lost along the way or changed/escaped in an unexpected manner. Make a shell script (e.g. /root/mystuff.sh), make it executable (chmod u+x /root/mystuff.sh) and then run that script for the report instead I did this but when i test with Send Now buttom nothing hapen. I tryed exclude the comand and select a log and again don't work. I tryed to put simple``` /bin/echo teste what i can try now?

So what are you trying to solve? The message says that some authentication failed, that's it. If that's expected, then move on.

I know it's quite an old post, but you need a flashstart subscription to do it. They offer a free trial but definitely to pricey for me. http://www.flashstart.com/ is the website for more details.

@smils: For pfsene 2.3.4 there is Zabbix Proxy 3.4? No, only in 2.3.5-DEVEL for now. System / Update / Update Settings Please select the stable, or the development branch from which to update the system firmware. Use of the development version is at your own risk!

Hi Jimp, yes it was already working on the mentioned box. I also tested it on a lab device at home and there I have the same effect. Port forward is working. DynDNS names configured and working. Configured names etc. working but somehow the exporter won't find either a name nor an IP for the automagic config. Anything I can throw in to help? Edit: added screenshots from the test-lab instance below. Explanation: The test lab has WAN configured with 192.168.178.2 (VIP) and 192.168.178.251 (pfsense IP) and has a cable router in front of it. Cable router is passing through everything to pfSense. OpenVPN connect from outside is working perfect. Already tried every possible setup with the port forwarding. Using "this firewall", using "WAN address" or using the VIP IP but neither setting used produced a result. There could be something about the formatting of the report e-mail that the mail server doesn't like. It know it still works, I have a couple 2.4.0 systems setup to send me reports and I get them every time they run.

Thanks for the reply Jimp. Sorry it's taken me so long to notice, I thought I'd turned on notifications for the thread, but clearly hadn't. Whilst I appreciate what you're saying regarding the number of options, I'm not sure I agree that it's a waste of time. Having a component like this not part of the config sync increases the opportunity for inconsistencies to appear between the two firewalls when a change is made on one, and forgotten about on the other. The bindings are my concern. Whilst your standard pfSense deployment probably only has a handful of interfaces, I currently have around 60 customer interfaces, and counting. I could easily see myself add a binding on one appliance and not notice it's not bound on the other. Anyway, I appreciate you no doubt have many better things to do than worry about a package for what is ultimately a defunct protocol. Ultimately, config sync, or no config sync, I appreciate you putting the time into making this package available in the first place. Thanks.
