@stephenw10 This is my final note since it seem you will always look at this as an endpoint. It doesn't appear, it actually is, the facts are the facts. Still, moderator usually have a way to remove posts and ban single users, not just the entire herd, or at least the ones use. Perhaps those are more advance, or perhaps netgate forums lack that functionality. I never said negate took this issue lightly, I was just looking for some feedback. I have seen this process many times and for the looks of it, pfsense CE is very much in maintenance mode. Just because netgate wants to be politically correct does not mean it is not. The fact are there and they are fallowing the same path as others did. Again, this subject is just becoming redundant and it is affecting other users in the forum.

@sef1414 Name it "run.sh", copy to pf and chmod according documentation https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/development/boot-commands.html#shell-script-option You will see messages in the system log like those quoted in the script after logger command.

to any server, it is odd yes. Even if classified in the same rule as http traffic, the http traffic is queued properly on it's ack's whilst ssh is not. I will do more experiments on it later in the week.

@johnpoz said in Why You Can’t Live Without A VPN In A Modern World: but can not see any links in it, doesn't name any specific vpn service, etc. And that's why I didn't flag it as spam. It was just a generic opinion post, and it was in the proper place.

Thanks @KOM, I know. Plenty of disk space. This is on new disk but config was from a backup. So yes, squidguard has been reinstalled. Now working on upgrading hardware.

Yes, it looks like you might need the DHCP Relay package but I have no experience with that so I'll bow out at this point. Why are the clients on a different network than the servers?

So your going to run say https://www.paessler.com/prtg? Which is really the only one I know off the top of my head what would be windows. If you do not allow port forwarding - how exactly would you access anything? Or even allow for snmp query over the internet?

I don't think you can. IIRC, squid's behaviour is to use the default gateway.

No it doesn't..The controller needs to run if you want to use specific features, like guest network, captive portal.. To be honest unless you want the info, you don't need the controller running. And to be honest you can prob run guest policies without the captive portal - just look into the selfrun mode for details https://help.ubnt.com/hc/en-us/articles/205222660-UniFi-Configuring-the-SELFRUN-State
