I have similar problem.
About month ago, when I updated to 2.0.1. version I have got situations, when pfsense freeezees.
Pfsense is installed on old HP E800 series server with PIII 1ghz CPU, 512Mb RAM and 17Gb SCSI hdd.
Firstly I though, that it is from bad RAM or HDD, but after changing them, everything continues.
I setted up another hardware, simple pc with 1,7Ghz Celeron Intel CPU, 768Mb RAM and 40Gb hdd.
Two days everything was ok, but then in one day it stops 3 TIMES!!
Then I thought, that it has got something common with ACPI, even I have got UPS.
Turned off ACPI support in pfsense.
Few days everything was OK after turning of ACPI in pfsense, but this night again it stops.
And I am a little bit desperate.
If hardware change doesn't help, it could be MBUFs?
Right now it is = 0.
In pfsense first page it shows 518/24896 MBUFs usage.

Any Ideas?

Is there a DNS service that can give me this kind of report? OpenDNS the free version? Can they do it? Either way it still feels improper when someone else gets that information for you so ideally I'd like to use a tool in Pfsense.

if the parent NIC isn't assigned, you'll have to do it via shellcmd.

I have to agree that you probably could virtualise pfSense on that hardware with CPU cycles to spare.
My own box is a P4-M underclocked to 1.2GHz and it handles my loadbalanced WANs (60Mbps total) with ease.

There's multiple guis? The one I saw at openvpn site it just keeps crashing and then says gui already open when it isn't, stuff like that.

I wanted hamachi/neorouter since all the clients are listed all neatly for you. Openvpn just puts you on the network and you have to do that yourself, that's a bit more work.

Try reset state table it will go back to normal connection but after 3 to 4 days you'll experience it again. I dont know why but still the same issues with my box

Ok, awesome.  I'm going to set it up that way.

I host a few non ssl sites so I can share an ip.  For my ssl site, there is only one at the moment with a wildcard cert, shouldn't be a problem.  I'm more concerned for when I add ssl sites in the future, I'm sure it's easy enough though.

I must be missing something: Why do you want to do this? Why not assign the specific IP address to one of the existing interfaces? Or assign the specific IP address as an additional IP address for one of the existing interfaces?
