    This isn't working for me.  I've had my box configured from the get-go using those names, and something about it just doesn't work.  My gateways are all static, but I've been using the GW_WAN names.

    It's already been changed. You can't use that for nanobsd yet though.

    Ah… ok. Splitting across a time boundary like Midnight is not something I have tested.

    I'll have to take a look and see if I can tell where that bug might be. There are a couple other bugs in the log updating that I'm chasing anyhow.

    I've seen this issue, too.  I had noticed that I can successfully upgrade from a 1.2.3 slice, however.  Either it has this set differently or the upgrade is not handled the same way.

    The gmirror status widget should now be AJAX in new snapshots. I just committed support for it this evening.

    It updates every 5 seconds. I'm watching it rebuild on my test array right now 8)

    @jgreco:

    It may make sense to run interface reconfiguration in the event that a pfSense-configured interface does not appear to be in the system's inventory, but I'm thinking that forbidding interfaces that are merely down is problematic for a robust networking device.

    I second that.

    An interface being down shouldn't force a reconfiguration. The configuration may well be correct (as in what the user wants) but the interface may be down for another reason (e.g. broken cable) that is easier to fix than performing a reconfiguration to restore the original configuration.

    @senseifedon:

    And I opened /etc/inc/xmlparse.inc and looked to line 69 but I cannot understand where the problem is.
    Line 69:
                    $ptr =& $ptr[$path];

    I found what this:

    @johbra:

    I think i've encountered the same error naming a client with the swedish letter "ö". My guess is that this goes for all three swedish letters: "å", "ä" and "ö".

    That is a very different bug, which already has an open ticket.

    I had read those wiki and troubleshooting articles and too that i need to test the port forwards from outside the network, i tested de ports with help of one messenger's friend, the only thing that i didn't know was that about the explicit port forward for icmp and thanks for tell me.

    but my question is if im doing the things good?

    or how would you do?

    Thanks again jimp

    7lemo: make sure you're on the latest version, I confirmed this issue is fixed (or at least the one I could replicate is). That wasn't that long ago though.

    Ok thanks to all especially Ermal. It is working now for me perfectly.

    I made a mistake in my radiusconf it must be

    mpd-limit := "out#1=all shape 64000"
    mpd-limit := "in#1=all shape 64000"

    not
      mpd-limit += "out#1=all shape 64000"
      mpd-limit += "in#1=all shape 64000"

    You have to change RELENG_8_0 to RELENG_8_1 and it will offer you the actual snaps.

    Those are supposed to prevent you from loosing access to web interface from lan in any case.
    Though i will make sure they get added only when lan is present.

    one more thing, being connected to internet y does the gateway section show gateway as offline, is it because its not pingable and showing offline doe it affect anything if im on a single WAN link.

    The setup of a builder system is described here:

    http://devwiki.pfsense.org/DevelopersBootStrapAndDevIso

    You would need to edit the kernel configuration before starting the build. The kernel configurations files are under tools/builder_scripts/conf/ and you'd need to edit whichever one you will build (e.g. pfSense.8 for a build of pfSense 2.0 on FreeBSD 8 )
