@microserfs and what IP was that - clearly your current IPv6 address is not block that I show you connected with.. And the only other IPv4 I see you using is not blocked.. You would have to let me know what IP you were coming from that was blocked.. Send it to me via PM if you don't want to make it public.

    @sef1414
Name it "run.sh", copy to pf and chmod according documentation
    https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/development/boot-commands.html#shell-script-option
You will see messages in the system log like those quoted in the script after logger command.

It is your single-best source for information on pfSense.

It is being constantly updated in general.

It's Teredo tunneling. Don't panic, just disable that in the network settings on the Hyper-V server.

    For example: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc770710(v=ws.10).aspx

    Opinions mine.

People are trying to do what used to take a room full of PhDs and grad students to accomplish.

    This stuff is complicated.

These days everyone wants to policy route this traffic and that out a VPN or two on a set schedule while containing DNS leaks with pretty much no knowledge of simple things like you can't have the same subnet on two interfaces. Then when you tell them that can't be done they argue "but it worked on product X." They want a turnkey product but don't want to renumber. That and they have to have IPsec working to their workplace and the IT department there is of less-than-zero assistance.

Sort of akin to rebuilding an automobile transmission - but the same people who would never attempt that because they don't have the knowledge, experience, or tools, somehow think that building a complicated IP network that functions well is somehow within the grasp of anyone and everyone. I do not understand that phenomena.

They won't even pay $25 for the book.

    It's pretty ludicrous.

Well it took them a couple days but they got it fixed. It was indeed a change they made. They pushed a firmware update to the modem and it bricked the settings (in their router) for my connection.

My connection is wireless as I'm in a rural area on the way to nowhere. I'll likely never have any other option unless I move.

I hit this limit frequently. Would love to see it go away.

Room 1 Port 1 should be untagged and part of VLAN10
Room 1 Port 8 should be tagged for VLAN 10
Room 2 Port 1 should be taged for VLAN 10
Room 2 Port 2 should be untagged and part of VLAN10

Depending on the make and model of smart switch, it probably has something called PVID that can be set on each port. That controls what to do with incoming "raw" packets. So Room 1 Port 1 and Room 2 Port 2 need to have PVID 10. (As well as being "part of VLAN 10" somewhere else in the smart switch configuration screens)

Whoo..That's freescale CPU. Does that hard drive mount fit the XTM5? Because we have yet to find a hard drive holder for the XTM5.

Wondering what kind of work is this for. You'd better keep a good backup.  ::)

Could Nagle on the client or server be creating an artificial 100ms delay? Even then, you'd think it would be a common issue.

    Hi!

I have changed the SSD about 10 days ago…

I didn't touch the optical drive (since it's quite improbable it is that nor the NIC card (since those things are kinda costly)...

Last time it took a close to two weeks before it became unstable again IIRC so I should know soon enough if the SSD was truly to blame...

Thank you and have a nice day!

    Nick

Yes, I think it's time to close this topic.
I would not change my name on redmine and would not post anything there since until I have an adequate answer, that can be send privately not even on public.

I've been using pfSense for few years now and I have no idea what you're talking about.

Perhaps if you posted your question in one of the many Support forums, such as the General Questions forum, perhaps someone could help you.  This forum is for general discussion of topics not necessarily related to pfSense.
