@Defenestr8r: No, I haven't. Is it stable? If so, what's keeping it in RC status? See http://blog.pfsense.org/?p=497

You would have to start with a port of FreeBSD to OMAP, which hasn't been done yet.

@submicron: You should not be editing files manually in the first place.  They will be overwritten.  There are tutorials on how to add cron jobs to the config.xml file.  Grab a copy, put in your cron jobs and restore the config. But my card is 4gb i wanna save some stuff on it, not related to th O.S, is that possible?

Do some ping tests. Set it to not fragment, then try with various size packets.

The Speedboost he's referring to is a feature in DD-WRT.  However, there's no way it'll increase his internet connection speed.  It's the equivalent of Turbo-G/ Speedboost/ Superspeed/ G-Plus found in Wireless-G routers to exceed the normal 54Mbps on Wireless-G connections.

Given that the options on the page when you setup the captive portal are a) No authentication b) local user manager and c) RADIUS authentication I would answer yes. Loading it up on a test machine and playing with it may help determine if it is going to suit your needs.

must go to ver 2, 1.2 releases  do not support multi-wan directly/natively. However one modem is bridged (the regular Internet) and the other is not (the one that is the VPN or otherwise, use pf as most modems wont do a vpn) have the vpn with pfsense and regular Internet with the modem. its pretty much a multi-wan setup but without round robin. heres a post where i did multi-wan http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,17032.msg88727.html#msg88727 and heres some tutorials: http://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Multi-WAN_OpenVPN http://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Multi_WAN_/_Load_Balancing   <- ignore the round robin stuff other than that its the same

whats the latency for you vpn connections? (ping the ip) if you have to go in and manually connect it tells me that it is timing out (taking too long/longer than it should so it gives up and will try again later-not sure when later is though) hence you have to do it manually.
