Has anyone gone through something like this and can give me a hint how to solve this problem. See anything in the firewall log that seems pertinent?

What is your ntpd service log saying? /var/log/ntpd.log Is it signal 15 then starting again? It stops working until you kick it off again? Just client or server?

@mr_sarge: Just made a discovery! I had ~3Gb of download on the LAN graph and 0 on the WAN one. I flushed my Traffic shaper config and refreshed the RRD Graph page. The WAN Graph now show 3Gb of download !!! I re-imported my Shaper config and the RRD Graph returned to 0 ! EDIT: I just erased all the shaper config and build a new one manually.  I found that as soon as I put the WAN queue under 15mbps of bandwith, the graph start to output smaller period total.  (1mbps queue = 0Mb for the period). EDIT2: Rebuilded a shapper from scratch, with the wizard, with 1mbps wan bandwidth speed.  same thing.  WAN period total not working. Well we are getting somewhere now

thanks for replying.  i inherited this box from somebody else. i don't know if he put the traffic shaper or not, but there was some shaping being done.  i removed them all yesterday, but it didn't help so i restored everything back to where it was.  just a few minutes ago i tried removing them again and it worked.  i guess restoring everything allowed me to remove the traffic shaper.  weird, but we're in business.  thanks

Thank you for the clarification! I chose to do this: @phil.davis: Or specify and alternate monitor IP, like 8.8.8.8 (Google) That works fine. -flo-

Yep check the logs, if you can access them. It could maybe be a file corruption problem, the box can't read the default config file. That doen't explain why it came up at 192.168.1.1 initially though.  :-\ Steve

It was just speculation. What does your Status: UPnP: page show when your running either teamviewer or S4? Does your normal connection test OK, full 50Mbps? Have you tried teamviewer transfers to multiple locations? Does the normal screen sharing work OK? Steve

Well thats been done … PS3 Media Server is Running on my NAS and is registered on my Local Domain and on the DNS as NAS. Also permissions are in place on the firewall to allow PS3 Media Server on all networks ( Domain, Private and Public ). I think i might just pull the sever from the Domain to keep my sanity LOL

Are they connected directly back-to-back or through a switch? It could be a duplex mismatch, a bad cable, who knows. If it can't get an ARP response, that's at layer 2 or lower (switch, physical connections, etc)

The upper limit depends on how much RAM you have and how much of that is available as Kernel memory. If you read into FreeBSD's documentation you'll find more in-depth info there, in pages such as tuning(7)

On pfSense Firewall you will need: a) System->Routing, add a gateway pointing to the Router. b) Routes - add static route/s to the subnets behind router, pointing to the router gateway IP. c) Firewall->NAT, Outbound. Select "Manual Outbound NAT". Add NAT rule/s to NAT traffic from the subnets behind router, onto WAN. d) Firewall->Rules, LAN - make sure there are pass rule/s to allow traffic with source = subnets behind router. Post details of your subnets, gateways, static routes, Outound NAT rules and Firewall LAN rules if you still have a problem.
