I read this before but is a problem with 2.3.x https://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/6099#change-27787 an IGMP v3. If you want test something you should use the 2.2.6 even if this look like not affect you is suppose to affect vlan configs only. The number of time i try put some IPTV working i fail at least with the 2.3.x.

Just tested, the issue/bug still exists even though Unbound didn't listen on the WAN interface.

Writing paper models, tips , and information provide this service.click here. Your link is for a commercial service unrelated to pfSense, that type of advertising on the forums is not allowed and will get you banned.

if its going through pfsense it sure is not broadcasting or multicasting, unicasting sure.. You do understand broadcast layer 2.. You can do some stuff with multicasting if you have smart switches and pfsense has igmp proxy, if your wanting to multcast to install images onto machines I would suggest the box that is pushing the images to your machines should be in the same layer 2 as getting the image since seems you don't even have smart switches that can do anything with multicast?

The issue you face is most likely due a proxy somewhere on your network and your browsers obtain those settings automatically. You should edit the appropriate browser settings. Most of the times the other browsers pick the default settings from Internet Explorer (Windows).

@BlueKobold: What else can I try? This is new pfsense box… See above. What kind of connection method you were setting up at the pfSense box? DHCP, static public IP address or something else? Is the Arris a pure modem or a router? After rebooting the pfSense was the given MAC address from you also inside or gone? Perhaps you might be needing the new MAC Adress from the new Arris modem? Please help! I am pulling my hair out! Don´t do so this only looks good for Bruce Willis! Thank you all for the help. I had Charter switch out the cable modem from the Arris to a cisco modem. Fired up the cisco and it worked instantly …. even without having to change the mac address. It seems like on another forum I had read where some of the newer cable modems don't work with pfsense.  Thought I would share for someone else who might have the same issue. Here is another person who had the same issue as me on the pfsense forums..... https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?action=profile;area=showposts;u=287475 Again... thanks for all the help!!! :D

NAT Reflection is one way to do it, but it's generally not recommended.  Always test your port forwards from the WAN side.  I find my phone is quite handy for such testing, and there is an official RDP app from MS for Android, for example..

Distance is just one of the factors, because your latency to the destination is largely from physical distance in many cases. Not always the case though, you could be taking some extremely sub-optimal path to get there. ISPs' Internet routing is generally least-cost (monitarily for them), not necessarily best path.
