It probably just needs updated to handle a new log format.
The triangles indicate login or logout. Usually |> was login and <| was logout. Each login line should have a username and IP, the logout line just has username.
Or at least that's what used to happen.
@jimp:
Not sure about 1), but 2) would definitely be a problem.
Thanks. I figured about 2), but I am hopeful to get at least one PPPoE connection working. What can I do to help troubleshoot this?
Fixed in Fri Jun 4 13:37:20 EDT 2010 nanobsd update. I now have internet access from a pppoe client. There are other issues, but I'll open another thread.
It appears that you have resolved this issue. Thank you very much!
Both the PORT and EPRT commands come through correctly.
I hadn't realized this previously, but I also see that clients behind pfSense using ACTIVE FTP are able to connect correctly without explicit firewall rules. Nice work!
I've tested both an upgrade (manual) and a clean install with images from the 2010-06-03-2033 time frame.
Yes, if you go through the trouble of setting up MAC addresses into certain classes you can do that, but it's far from automatic. At that point you may as well assign them static IPs in the other subnet.
(I don't think static IP/MAC settings have a gateway field, but it would not be difficult to add…)
Multiple pools in the same subnet would be nice, not sure how much effort that would take.
Well…. it is showing the serial console after all but for some reason in this box after booting up it switches on its own to 115200,n,8,1 instead of keeping 9800,n,8,1.
Setting putty to 115200 gives me the console.
Auto update works OK too, I just did one yesterday.
The snapshots are mostly OK now, in terms of booting, though there is a module issue in the last few snaps that will cause other breakage.
The booting issues from the CD and the installer have been fixed. If there are still problems, it's probably not related to the issues that were there at the time this thread was made.
Ok I switched from UDP to TCP and all seems to be working perfectly now.
Sorry I did the switch before I read this post so I was unable to get the status like you wanted.
