      Luckily i'm in a controlled environment where only PC's and Desktop Phones approved by (me) are allowed to have access via WiFi.

      No phones or personal devices are allowed on that segment.

      ok so here are the results of my efforts last night until 0130!
      I am currently unable to get my plex to work.
      the plex server is on the server 192.168.1.251 and I am trying to access it via the tv firestick. can anyone help?

      If the pfSense isn't getting a DHCP IP from it then it likely isn't, and you'd have to enter a static IP address that is in the NetGear's subnet, with the NetGear as its gateway.

      @derelict did a Google search for netgear dual wan and one of the links was to this forum))) It crossed my mind that it's probably a wrong place to ask for help with my issue but I decided to give it a go anyways)
