Either ssh into the 1100 or use the USB serial console directly.
Use option 13 at the console menu to run the upgrade. If it still fails you should see more error output from there.

@mcury I also had to disable some ethernet rules that all the sudden showed a lot of activity

@jonathanlee I don't see it, but, I suspect 23.05 is not available to test yet. It's not on other hardware, either.
