The video and files come over HTTP, so I'm not sure how to get the shaper to distinguish between regular traffic and extended length traffic (like the video).

I'm comfortable using the CLI, if there is a method that way.

I'm trying to do this without creating a list of known hosts to shape into their own queue. That will be my last resort.

Fixed the issue….. I guess with https sites the upper limit needs to be 10kb or more

I had similar problem with 1.2 and cant see shaper works here. It shows this same error and cannot limit bandwith of a penalty queue, for example.

I had re-run shaper without success.

Nope, figured it out. I had all "unclassed or unknown traffic" going to my ptp queue which I had set at 56k speeds. Guess I need to be less concerned with actual "speed" on the network and start thinking "usability and quality of web experience".

Just do you classification right and you do not need scheduled shaping.
The discipline that you have HFSC allows for traffic in lower queues to use the whole available bandwidth when available.

Thank you, after disabling the antilockout rule, the WebGUI is no longer being put into the default queue. It is now being grabbed by the normal HTTP traffic rules.

Just got a report back from the users that it is not perfect, but a lot better!  These problems may not be relating to shaping though.  I'm thinking my PSTN gateway provider may not be perfect.

The easiest thing to do is run the trafficshaper wizard and enter the alias when it asks you if you want to give priority to voip (unless you run voipapplications). This will put all IPs of that alias into a very high serviceclass.

Thank for the answer. I have been very please with this firewalls progression over the last 4 years. Will donate money as soon as I have some  :)
