The current driver listed is v204. I would try that. Steve

@styxl Just FYI - Plan B didn't work either. I wound up buying a D-Link smart switch and running my no-VLAN + 2 VLANs out of the LAN port, letting the switch do the rest (as others suggested in this thread).

Good to hear it worked for you! We were still getting a couple reports that people had issues but without any details about what was still broken. If you, or anyone else reading this thread, happen to encounter further problems, make sure to follow-up with log messages and other info so we can diagnose it further. Thanks

Just to confirm, there is no thermal sensor device in the SG-2100 SoC that pfSense can read so you won't see a value reported there. Steve

Did he collect any logs that might be more useful? It's a very generic error, I would expect to apply to almost any package with the same backend issues existing. Steve

@steveits I did get it working. Honestly I have no idea what happened, but I was finally -after many attempts- able to convince it to hard reset. From there, I got it all set up again, and yes, I did install the update as well. Thank you.

@survivalbloke said in Unable to connect to web GUI [SG2100]: set up my DHCP ranges, ****port forwarded all 443 and 80 traffic to my reverse proxy host, then enabled NAT reflection Hi, Is that so? SSL problems always raise certificate issues for me. -The question does not include rproxy - what is this? after the default configuration, what is 80/443? what about console access (22) with ...

@stephenw10 said in [Downgrading Pfsense Netgate SG-3100 from 20.XX to 2.4.5.p1](/post/ An alternative to booting into single user mode is just to disconnect the WAN for the first boot after the restore and wait for the package re-install to fail. Problem I had with this was some of the packages would freeze up the whole process waiting for the version. And clearing the package lock won't help once you plug in the old WAN pfsense eagerly moves forward with some of the system packages. It seemed way faster to hit single user and be done with it but YMMV.

@cmlong89 just updated my system to zfs a short while ago. Very glad @jimp clarified that matter for me/us. Cannot overemphasize the value of having a good UPS that is adequate for your power needs. The number of people I know who would use a small UPS (meant only to allow you to quickly shut down a computer in the event of an outage) for multiple devices and then complain about bad run time or hard shutdowns always has perplexed me.

It may be having trouble checking for updates, there are ways to fix that on the documentation. You may also want to contact support to ensure you have installation media on hand in case a reinstall is better.

Got the correct image file from Netgate and a bit of help in troubleshooting, ended up the 2440 died during the upgrade process and nothing would revive it. Shiny new SG-3100 will be here later this week and until then I'll limp along on an antique HP from the spares closet stuffed with Ethernet cards.
