ZFS support is not a goal on ARM until we get to arm64.

@ivor: @NogBadTheBad: @ivor: @NogBadTheBad: ipsec-profile-wizard is that available as a package, I can't see it ? I'm running CE on my 4860. Only available for factory installs. Is that RCC-VE 4860 or SG-4860 (purchased from pfSense store) ? Purchased 31/5/16 from Amica in the UK, they forgot to put the image on the MSATA SSD that was purchased at the same time, so I installed the CE version and never thought any more about it. We install those systems and then ship them to partners, it appears that the error is on our end. Sorry about that. Can you please send an email to support@netgate.com and link this thread? Then we can guide you on how to activate support and get access to portal.pfsense.org from where you can download factory images. Thanks! Thanks it's now sorted, just need to do the reinstall over the weekend. done, worked like a charm.

Hi Bob. It's certainly not a common issue. If you are seeing the device being moved sufficiently that the power cable is being removed then some sort of cable restraint may be required. Personally I would rather see something like this in a suitable size: [image: R161B-250x250.jpg] So the cable can be removed when required without leaving a sticky mess on everything. Steve

I'm using the IOgear GWU 637: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018YPWORE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Unfortunately, still having trouble setting this up, possibly due to the cable, or change of WiFi SSID. It's definitely not convenient, but I will keep trying until it's definitely confirmed as useless! Less and less hotels these days with wired Ethernet, so I can't even use this normally…

Hi, It wasn't clear to me you have purchased the appliances from us. Sadly, things don't change. Manufacturer provides a fix for the hardware, in this case SuperMicro is the manufacturer. Due NDA's from SuperMicro and Intel, I am not able to provide any more details about this. That's why the phone call to SuperMicro is the best way. Thanks.

@dennypage: Is there a reason for not having an intermediate "halt" step? Pulling the plug on a remote system running UFS doesn't seem like a good idea… Good question.  The Remote instructions did not call for a Halt, but since the dashboard was active, I did take the opportunity to issue a Halt and waited for the system to go down before I unplugged it.    Came up fine.  So is there a problem issuing the Halt after the double sync?? The bios download hasn't changed since the one I downloaded on the 11th, so I assume it's not a change to the flash script itself. If it is a change to instructions on the web site, it's really subtle. Please provide some detail on this. Also, please note if it affects remote upgrades. Thanks.

Hello, Thanks for your reply. I am afraid that 10~20Mbps through VPN is indeed the best I can get. That would be nice if I was lucky enough so that someone from netgate / pfSense could confirm that here. Can you please provide a link containing informations regarding the ARM crypto driver and its integration into pfsense ? But without VPN I think there really is an issue with the maximum 25Mbps I get. Should be more than 100Mbps i think : https://netgate.com/docs/sg-1000/faq.html#what-should-my-speed-test-results-be With a basic firewall setup we have shown it can pass around 130Mbit/s. In other conditions, the speed may be higher or lower depending on the firewall configuration, enabled features, environment and testing methods. https://netgate.com/products/sg-1000.html Using pfSense with the default ruleset offers performance exceeding 200Mbps. I guess you refer to SG-2220. I considered it but it's for home so I try to reduce the cost. And if I'm not mistaken we still don't have precise informations about that Intel Atom C2000 broken CPUs issue.

@ivor: Yup, if the serial is correctly displayed on the Dashboard, you have followed the correct documentation. Cool, thanks ivor. I must admit, it's a bit ironic that the "remote" update requires someone onsite for the physical power cycle.  I understand why. For me, the remote option was just easier than generating an image on a stick and remote for me is merely upstairs/downstairs. Rick

It's been a while so I thought I would update as I 'dealt' with this the night after posting. The Datacenter (DC) manually configures their switch ports to 10baset full-duplex. Most of their customers that only need that amount of bandwidth put a managed switch in their rack, configure for the same, and off they go. My NAS couldn't deal with this, and apparently neither could the SG-1000.  The other option from the DC is get a 10Mb link that's "burstable" to 100Mb.  Basically the switch port is set to 100Mb and anything you use over 10Mbps is billable and measured at the 95th percentile. Set up that way the SG-1000 get's a full-duplex 100Mb link no problem.  So then I just set up traffic shaper with limiters on both the SG-1000 and the pfSense box on the source end to limit the traffic so that cumulatively the DC connection will never use more than 10Mbps.  We're a month in and there are no overages and the backups are working perfectly.

@pfBasic: I think that if you go to status monitoring, select your CPU for 8 hours @ 1 minute intervals, then deselect the interrupts and processes on the graph it will give you a better idea as to what's going on. … Basically, I think that staring at a live update feed of top is a waste of your time (in this case). That information is already summarized and visualized for you in the RRD graphs Well that does make sense. Sounds like I'm over-complicating things by looking at the Top averages instead of utilizing the RRD graphs. Perhaps I should just use the Top info when diagnosing an issue (if any!). Thanks for the clarification!
