@sef1414 Name it "run.sh", copy to pf and chmod according documentation https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/development/boot-commands.html#shell-script-option You will see messages in the system log like those quoted in the script after logger command.

try changing from ppoa to ppoe if you have console access type in option 100 (the links web browser) and try to access google.com, you will have to hit esc first and then f1 and then select go to and type in http://www.google.com if you can access it that way then it is either the ppoa/ppoe setting (switch to the other that you are not using) or the disk is full on pfsense, search the forums for clearing the squid cache. try doing 1:1 nat

@albert.hang: Hey, I know a lot of admins visit this board so I thought I might this non-pfsense related question here.(although if pfsense were to get a module that could do mft that would be nice). I'm looking for an open source or affordable Managed File transfer system. Sorta like what the various download sites use (like yousendit, rapidshare, etc) I work for a banking and insurance firm which needs a secure way to send files from 10mb to 100mb to various sites while keeping some sort of record of each transfer. We've tried ftp in the past but would like something more secure and more user friendly. Teaching 50 year old bankers on how to use a pc is hard enough… Any ideas guys? Albert, Take a look at Accellion's secure file transfer solution. Accellion allows you to send and receive files up to 20GB. We also have the security and tracking and reporting tools necessary to demonstrate compliance with HIPAA and Sarbanes-Oxley if that is important to you. For end users, our solution is as easy as attaching a file to an email and hitting send, so it's very user friendly. Let me know if you have any questions or if you want to talk to someone here to help better understand your needs. We also have a free business user trial if you're interested: http://www.accellion.com/solutions/free-user-trial.html Accellion

Well thanks for that info. I tried to setup Open VPN but I'm getting an error there too. Since it's a openvpn error I'll post it up on openvpn. http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,20168.0.html

Hi All. I've just been using this program for about a year and it is fantastic! Glad to see more users who can help test it out and make it even better.

Because at no point would pfSense display such a message… Aside from making it OT for this forum, knowing the context might just help people answer the question in a manner that's helpful to the OP (who appears to have posted and never come back).

Did you end up migrating?  We have the exact same situation, and am wondering if there were any lessons learned from your move?

If enough people get together and pool money for a bounty, it can add up fast. Or if someone with the skills to handle the feature comes along and wants to donate their time, that is always appreciated too. Such is the nature of open source software.

Good to hear - I managed to find the fiber support number on their site a few weeks back and was pleasantly surprised to find it answered by a real person on the second ring.  The guy (Ramon) informed me that they take the info, open the trouble ticket, and work it themselves.  Nice to know that the techs are still answering the phones somewhere. What are you paying for 5x5 and how long was your contract term?

Another approach, still using GPIO, and possibly easier to do, would be to still hook a push button to the gpio, but, this time, while the board is lit.. If the button is pressed, trigger the slice selection routine, than reboot the box But i really feel it'll be better if done before the board is turned on ..

Well the third option would be to get access to the phoneline distributor panel. Patch one of the 4 lines from her to your home, have at your home an DSLAM and let her access you. But since i doubt that you have: A: Access to the distributor panel B: A schema of the distributor panel (good luck finding the right wires) C: An Access Multiplexer lying around It's really easier to just go the "official" way. (We had to go with this option for a setup in our town, but that included a lot of paperwork with the telephone company and quite expensive hardware)

Not in pfSense 1.2.3 I believe it is already on PHP 5 for pfSense 2.0, however.

Be aware that D-Star is almost exclusively used for Amateur Radio.  Anyone planning to use the Icom ID-1 (at least in the US) will need an Amateur Radio license and no commercial and/or encrypted traffic of any form can be transmitted on the amateur radio frequencies. Icom does offer the IDAS system which is designed for business use and provides much of the same functionality.

Mark the box "Enable Secure Shell" from  System: Advanced functions  of the WebGUI and there you go with puTTY, WinSCP et al.
