There were some problems with patches not applying, but they appear to have been cleared up. New images are building now, last I heard.

    No, my VDSL Line has a Modem/Router IP X.X.X.X with a 8 IP Range X.X.Y.1 to X.X.Y.8

    I will NAT X.X.Y.1 port 80 to DMZ 192.168.X.1 and X.X.Y.2 port 80 to DMZ 192.168.X.2

I wish to add the X.X.Y.'s adresses as Virtual IP's

I think that its best to update. Alpha-Alpha means that… Every update brought less errors.

Today's snapshot works. You can do a console URL update to upgrade and it should be operational again.

The configuration will automatically upgrade eventually. I'm sure that has some kinks to be worked out still.

After copying the missing mpd4 from a freebsd 8-package from the freebsd-server, new error appeared:

Oct 15 15:14:16 igorette php: /status_interfaces.php: The command '/usr/sbin/arp -d -i pppoe0 -a' returned exit code '1', the output was 'arp: interface pppoe0 does not exist'
    Oct 15 15:14:18 igorette php: /status_interfaces.php: The command '/usr/local/sbin/mpd4 -b -d /var/etc -f mpd_wan.conf -l mpd_wan.links -p /var/run/pppoe_wan.pid pppoeclient' returned exit code '1', the output was '/libexec/ld-elf.so.1: Shared object "libpdel.so.0" not

So i think that more things are missing…

    Thanks for your answer…

...but the missing tcpmssfix is installed yet a while. Without this or editing interfaces.inc I was not even able to connect. This problem doesn't exist.

I can ping my router from wan-side, I have a dyndns-account which works fine. Some people have access to my net. The alternate monitor-adress shows my external adress (WAN-adress from provider), so this seems to be right. I have no rule forbiddind icmp to my router from internet.

I don't have another router between my pfsense and provider, only a cable-modem. I'm on a 100Mbit-fiberoptic line connected to my provider which ends just in house, so no other hardware between me and the next fiberoptic hop somwhere in town.

Yes, my WAN-connection is via PPPOE.

    hello,

do you want to limit how many ip addresses and know who's using a particular ip address? is that the way you intend to use dhcp?

i see no problem with your picture… but single mac address for three different ip addresses? why not? do you have an isp(internet service provider) that specifies to know their internet subscriber's mac address?

try to set your lan interface with a specific ip address(which is the gateway of course) and then when asked if you want to enable the dhcp server on the lan interface, choose y(yes). then specify the subnet and the range...

based on my experience on pfsense, i would advice you not to use wireless routers as access points and clients if you don't have extensive knowledge or basic networking knowledge because it is quite tedious to configure such items... access-points/bridges are much preferable.

i hope this might be of help... :)

    @cmb:

Wireless will not work on 8 builds for the time being, it's configured entirely differently in 8.

How are they configured? I can't seem to find anything on this with Google.
